United We Dream – DACA Anniversary

Timothy Lennon0 Comments

For immigrant youth, DACA means safety, it means being able to earn a paycheck to buy medicine for your mom, it means peace of mind, it means opportunity.

In a sea of bad news, DACA is a shining light of good news and we have an opportunity to save it. In fact, immigrant youth and families won DACA by taking action and now we must take action to save it.

Ending DACA and a program called Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for over 300,000 immigrants from Africa, Haiti, central America and other countries means the lives of over a million immigrants are in danger.

Extremist Republicans have threatened to sue if President Trump doesn not kill DACA by September 5th. Over 1,000,000 people are covered under DACA and TPS. These programs enable people to work, go to school, provide for their families, be protected from deportation and gives many peace of mind. The clock is ticking and it is time for us to take a stand!

Join us for a screening of the Dream is Now and then we take Action in our neighborhoods –
