Jenny is a partner in the Tucson-based firm, Alexander | Carrillo Consulting, and with her partner Laura Alexander has provided fundraising, strategic planning, facilitation and training services to hundreds of nonprofit organizations throughout Arizona.
Jenny earned her B.A. in Communications, Law, Economics & Government from American University in Washington, DC and M.A. degree in Philanthropy & Development through St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Jenny has also achieved the professional credential of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) by demonstrating proficiency of professional practice, performance, education, service and a commitment to ethical fundraising. She served as President of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in 2005, and was recognized by the chapter with their Outstanding Fundraising Professional award in 2006. Jenny became a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer in 2015.

The purpose of this Teach In is to address health concerns related to historic groundwater contamination in South Tucson, also known as TCE ( Trichloroethylene ) Spill/ Contamination .

This event is an opportunity for your voice to be heard to receive education, to connect with health resources, and to work together to understand how the environment affects our community’s health .

Information about where your drinking water comes from, how it’s treated and how it is distributed

What doctors can and can’t tell you about environmental exposures and your health

Investigating community health concerns for the future

Also EJTF Tucson will provide information about how o connect with your community and help oput including encourage you to start or join a community group .

Coping with the stress that environmental contamination can cause in your community is also a factor that we can not ignore therefore ATSDR approach method and fact sheet will also be provided to anyone who is interested in more information on behavioral health issues related to stress that environmental contamination can cause .

United We Dream – DACA Anniversary

For immigrant youth, DACA means safety, it means being able to earn a paycheck to buy medicine for your mom, it means peace of mind, it means opportunity.

In a sea of bad news, DACA is a shining light of good news and we have an opportunity to save it. In fact, immigrant youth and families won DACA by taking action and now we must take action to save it.

Ending DACA and a program called Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for over 300,000 immigrants from Africa, Haiti, central America and other countries means the lives of over a million immigrants are in danger.

Extremist Republicans have threatened to sue if President Trump doesn not kill DACA by September 5th. Over 1,000,000 people are covered under DACA and TPS. These programs enable people to work, go to school, provide for their families, be protected from deportation and gives many peace of mind. The clock is ticking and it is time for us to take a stand!

Parking is available at the YWCA on a First Come, First Serve basis. Additional parking is available along the entire stretch of Bonita Ave, along the Eastern side or at Pima Community College. Do not park at Treasure Chest/Rio Nuevo Books next door.

Al Gore has partnered with Indivisible groups in just 15 cities around the country for a special screening of “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth in Power,” and we were selected as one of them!

This is a free screening of the film, followed by a town hall with local Indivisible groups including Indivisible Southern Arizona, Alliance for Action, Indivisible Tohono, Citizens Climate Lobby, and The Climate Reality Project. The screening is first come first serve.
